The other day we were in for a meeting at a certain Hotel. Hanged on their notice board was a writing that said: “Have confidence in your strength”.  Then one brother in our team asked a question in response to that writing saying “who gives you strength?” the answer was obvious to all of us. There is a saying that a family that prays together stays together.  I have realized that this saying is very true. When you pray together there is a strong bond that is built between you as a couple and also with those under your roof. One thing that I have discovered is that the devil fights prayer so much, prayer doesn’t cost you anything apart from may be your time. But the devil makes prayer appear so difficult. This he does so that he can freely accomplish his mission of attacking your life, job or even family.

Recently, I was moving back home after church service and I met an old dear friend with whom I was in secondary school. As we strolled and kept conversing, we met a colleague who was with us in the same class. He looked worn out. This young man is wasting his life because he is in drugs and worst of all he has neglected hardwork in his study  in spite of the fact that he has the means required to help him finish his education. I was so saddened when both of these buddies told me that they were repeating Senior Six this year.  And this made me reflect on how powerful God is, how gracious and good he has been to me.

The power of seed offerings

I want to bless the Lord for His mighty hand upon me and also thank all my pastors and the ministers who stood with me in prayers. God told me to begin tithing 20% which I did. And also I gave my seed to the mega church Land buying project. After planting the seed I was in a taxi and I got a vision of someone telling me there’s someone who is selling land. After that vision I came and told the pastor and he prayed for me. After one week a friend of mine from Mbale called me saying a friend of my dad is selling land. At that very time I had money and when I went I just paid the land. When I came back that very day, I planted another seed. It took two weeks and someone called me saying that the land I had bought had earlier on  been sold to someone else. I still called Pastor George Oduch and he prayed with me. When I went to the village to settle the land issue everyone including the owner of the land were on my side. These people who earlier on bought the land were threatening to go to court but I prayed a prayer and told God to help us solve the issue without going to Court indeed the issue was solved and the land owner offered them another land which they accepted and I retained my land.  After all these struggles were over I asked God to give me money to finish my house and in two weeks I was able to build and finish my house.  As if that was not enough, I asked God to help me enlarge my land. Then my dad called me that there is another land neighboring my house which the owner is selling which I am also in the process of buying. Another thing I am a business man and I have seen the hand of God in my business. People have tried witchcraft on my business but they have failed. Most of my fellow business associates are complaining that there’s no money in this season but my business has remained selling. I am seeing customers flood my business place. But all these have been made possible because of the power in sowing. I bless the name of the Lord.

The Power of salvation

Praise the Lord; it’s about a year since I came to Victory Church of Christ. I was a Catholic but I had lost hope; I had many questions whether God can also bless me. I was swallowed up in debts, the owners of the money I owed were seriously demanding for their money and I was almost losing my Job. I remember I used to ask a neighbor for one hundred shillings so that I can sow as my seed offering. However after a one to one talk with Pastor George Oduch he explained to me in depth about salvation I later accepted to get saved. I got promoted. For the first time my passport was stamped, because I crossed the border, for the first time I slept in a 5 star hotel and for the first time I am driving now. All these blessing came from my association with Victory Church of Christ. I give all the Glory back to God.

What the seed can do!

aise the Lord, when this year was beginning the Lord showed me many things that He was going to do. And He told me that for those who sowed seeds He is going to give them a great harvest. I was among those who sowed because of the abnormal back pain that I had. I asked God to watch over my life and do for me the things that I deeply needed. I am someone who would visit hospitals weekly. I would borrow till it was beyond the point of coming out of debt. After I got saved, God greatly changed my situation, someone who used to lend me asked why I was no longer borrowing things from her and I told her how I got saved and delivered. Also among the needs I had was for God to give me my own house because I was tired of renting. After the prayer in January 2011, God first healed me from the back pain I had experienced for a long time and also enabled my husband to buy for me a house. I give him all the glory and the honor.

1.     On the 11th June 2011 Pastor George   and Rose Oduch were hosted at Life line Ministries Kinawataka by        Apostle Julius Peter and Mama Cecilia Oyet in a one day married               Conference. In this Conference Pastor Oduch shared a message on ‘Communication in Marriage’. The participants were greatly edified.

2.     Baptism by immersion took place on the 2nd July 2011 at Miami Sand Beach -PortBell.                                            Congratulations to all the six ( 6) believers who were baptized.

3.     A 40 days prayer fast was called for all the churches on Port-bell Road from the 30th May 2011 to          8th July                  2011. The theme for this prayer fast was: ‘Season for mercy and                 breakthrough’ from Isaiah 62:10-12. This prayer program was concluded with open overnight prayer on the 8th  July 2011 at gulf  Kitintale open                       ground. We give thanks for the grace          God released upon the church during this  season.

4.     On the 26th.06.2011, Mr. Emmanuel Serrwada was ordained as one of the pastors of Victory Church of                               Christ Ministries Luzira Kampala to help reduce the work Load of ministry. We give God the Glory for                       this choice.

1.   The next Baptism by immersion will take place on the 6th.08.2011 at Miami Sand Beach. Those who are not yet

baptized by immersion are ncouraged to register with the Church secretary at a fee of 3,000 Shillings and God will surely bless you for obeying His command.

2.   Our monthly healing, Miracles and Deliverance overnight is scheduled to take place on the 29th.07. 2011 starting from 9:00pm till 5am. Come with the sick, oppressed and all those who need God’s intervention.

3.   On the 23rd of July 2011 Mr. David Agole and Miss. Proscovia Abeditho will be wedding at Victory Church of Christ Luzira. Their wedding meetings which started on 6th may 2011 are ongoing every Sunday from 11am at Ebenezer Quality Food restaurant behind the Church parking. Support them and God will greatly bless you.

4.   Pastor George Oduch and a team  made a Pastral mission to VCCM branches in Arua and Pabo near Gulu from the 9th-17th July 2011. You are requested to keep them in prayer and also support this mission in any way you can and God will surely bless you.
